Alex More has a story to tell. A struggling actor in L.A., he takes an “odd job” working in a private mall in the Malibu basement of a beloved megastar. Alex whiles away his days tending to the opulent and empty subterranean shops, but his boredom is instantly forgotten when his superstar employer pops downstairs to browse. The pair seems to bond in the basement, but will their relationship ever make it upstairs? The New Yorker hails Buyer & Cellar as “A fantasy so delightful you wish it were true,” and Entertainment Weekly says, “Hilarious! Beyond brilliant!” You will laugh your way through this smart, playful award-winning comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things, and the oddest of odd jobs. Regional Premiere
