Richmond favorite, Jerold Solomon, portrays Louis Armstrong, the greatest of all jazz trumpeters; Joe Glaser, his manager; and Miles Davis, a rival musician, in this one-man, three-character play. In 1971, in a dressing room backstage at the Empire Room of New York’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, four months prior to his death, Armstrong attempts to come to terms with his complicated relationships with Glaser and Davis.

Palm Beach Dramaworks Announces Casting for Virtual Live Reading of A CHRISTMAS CAROL

A who’s who in the history of Palm Beach Dramaworks is set to participate in a live reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol on Monday evening, December 21 at 7:30pm. In the tradition of Dickens reading his own work, this presentation will showcase PBD luminaries reading the 1843 novella, with each artist separately performing a portion of the book before handing off to the next actor.

Palm Beach Dramaworks is delighted to announce that Michael Amico, the company's production manager and premier set designer, was honored by the Florida Professional Theatres Association (FPTA) with the Vic Award for being "one of Florida's most creative scenic designers" and in recognition of "his years of work in theatre production."
