With the support of PJPAC, KL Shakespeare Players will be offering a new series of monthly live-and-interactive storytelling, starting on the first Sunday in March at 2pm and 3:30pm.

A new folktale will be offered the first Sunday of subsequent months, running through to December 2024.

Each month, KLSP will feature a story from a selected country.

In these sessions, two actors, accompanied by projected illustrations and animations, tell a famous folktale. At key points in the storytelling, the actors interact with the audience through songs, dances and discussion.

The illustrations and animations, used in these family-friendly shows, are all beautiful original works created by local artists.

The 2024 season will start with a Malaysian Folktale--Sang Kancil: Harimau’s Funeral

However, clever Sang Kancil convinces the King of Forest to stage his own funeral, drawing all the animals to come pay their respect. But of course, things don’t pan out as expected.
