The Los Angeles premiere of a radical, incendiary and subversively funny Obie award-winning play by MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant recipient Branden Jacobs-Jenkins inaugurates the new outdoor stage at the Fountain Theatre. A spectacular collision of the antebellum South and 21st century cultural politics, An Octoroon is a gasp-inducing deconstruction of a moustache-twirling melodrama by 19th century playwright Dion Boucicault that twists a funhouse world of larger-than-life stereotypes into blistering social commentary. June 11 Sept. 19; Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at 7 p.m. (check website for dark dates); $25-$45; In addition to regular seating, Pay-What-You-Want tickets are available on Monday nights (subject to availability). Fountain Theatre, 5060 Fountain Ave. (at Normandie), Los Angeles, CA 90029; (323) 663-1525; www.FountainTheatre.com.

Simply put, Nicholson nails each Green ably, in every possible way. Completely.
