Pacific Opera Project Partners With Occidental College Glee Club To Present Verdi's LA TRAVIATA

Pacific Opera Project (POP) joins forces with The Occidental College Glee Club for two performances of Giuseppe Verdi's La traviata on October 27 and 28, 2018 at Occidental College's Thorne Hall. Following a wonderful experience together producing The Rake's Progress in 2016, the collaboration allows POP to present Verdi's masterpiece with a more than 50-member chorus of Occidental Glee Club students and a POP professional chorus, plus a large orchestra.

La traviata will be sung in Italian with English supertitles with direction by Josh Shaw and music direction by Jesse Leong. The cast features Amanda Kingston (Violetta), Emily Rosenberg (Annina), Orson Van Gay II (Alfredo), Eric McKeever (Germont), Brandon Mautz (Flora's Servant), Joshua Alarcon (Messenger), Laura Zahn (Flora), William Grundler (Gastone), Phil Meyer (Dottore),Scott Ziemann (Giuseppe), and Joel Balzun (Marquis).

Tickets for each performance can be purchased by visiting pacificoperaproject.com or by calling 323-739-6122. Before the Sunday matinee, there will be a champagne brunch and pre-show lecture in the courtyard adjacent to Thorne Hall. The brunch will be included with the highest priced seats, but it can be added to any seat in the house for just $15.
