"Two Households, both alike in dignity."
What if the one you love, you were told you must hate?
Shakespeare's most famous love story passionately explodes onto the deck in this all-female contemporary production of heartbreaking consequences.
Accompanied by a live drummer and guitarist, director Mikey Mulhearn brings his unique vision to the sun-drenched rooftop deck of The Kimpton Everly Hotel - promising to ignite the energy and spirit of 1605 Shakespeare in Hollywood, with a large part of the proceeds being donated to A Place Called Home. The show is produced in association with Shakespeare on the Deck, Grey Goose Vodka©, The Women of PSAV©, and The Kimpton Everly Hotel©.
The cast is helmed by Libby Wahlmeier as Juliet and Sam Sheeks as Romeo. Also featured are company members Jessica Gardner (Lady Capulet), Katherine Landreth (Tybalt), Kelsey Dougherty (Mercutio), Emily Newsome (Benvolio), Joanna Bartling (Friar); and introduces Kelsey Risher (Nurse), Antonette Hudak (Peter/Prince), and Nancy Hale (Paris) to the deck. The company is Stage Managed by Jessica Morrison; with Fight Choreography by Celina Surniak and assistance by Mimi Sanders; Make-up by Kristin Andersson; and music by Jon Chamberlain.
