Kansas City Repertory Theatre completes its 2021-22 season with The Old Man and the Old Moon, book, music, and lyrics by PigPen Theatre Co., directed by Artistic Director Stuart Carden and PigPen Theatre Co. Performances run May 3 through 22, 2022, at Spencer Theatre.
Starting January 12, 2022 Kansas City Actors Theatre will present “The Pests” in a new adaptation and translation of Molière's “Les Fâcheux” by Dr. Felicia Londré. “The Pests” is presented as part of “KC MOlière: 400 in 2022,” a multi-year celebration of the seminal French playwright in honor of what would be his 400th birthday on opening night, January 15, 2022.
The World Premiere production of “Four Children” has been brought to life by the Kansas City Actors Theatre on the City Stage inside Union Station as a minimalist, sadly shocking view of war against children and on a number of levels. It is not to be missed during its several week run. The playwright has taken snippets from the diaries of four childhood victims of successful or attempted genocides. Their testimony is woven together paragraph by paragraph into a seamless, searing whole despite each being separated by decades and thousands of miles.
Kansas City Actors Theatre announces the world premiere of “Four Children,” opening Thursday, October 7 for three weeks.
