Margo Seibert, Andrew Durand, & More Set For Industry Readings Of New Musical IT'S THE BEAR

Industry presentations of the new murder mystery musical It's The Bear will be held December 7 at The Ailey Studios in Manhattan.

With direction by Connor Gallagher (Beetlejuice) and music direction by Ben Moss (Head Over Heels), the cast will feature Andrew Durand (Head Over Heels), Andy Grotelueschen (Tootsie), Greg Hildreth ( Frozen ), Storm Lever (Summer), Alex Malaos (The Leftovers), Geoffrey Allen Murphy (War Horse), Nadia Quinn (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), and Margo Seibert (Rocky, In Transit). Including a Merry Band Of Woodland Creatures: Molly Hager (Waitress), Jessie Linden, Mike Rosengarten (Be More Chill), Douglas Waterbury-Tieman (Robber Bridegroom), and Ameara Wahhab (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), led by band leader & music supervisor Matt Cusack (Bandstand). Stephen Ravet is stage managing.

It's The Bear has music & lyrics by Aaron Quinn & Nadia Quinn (Summer & Eve), a book by Rebekah Greer Melocik (Wringer), and is conceived by Dave Adamick, Aaron Quinn & Nadia Quinn.

This murder mystery new musical follows Jill, a soul-searching earthy hipster-hippy who founded the Loving Tree Coffee Home, which...unfortunately is a turning out to be a total failure. In an attempt to get someone to care, Jill takes her employees on a mandatory team-building retreat to Bear Mountain. But very soon, they start getting murdered one by one. Narrated by a merry band of woodland creatures, this bluegrass murder mystery not only looks at how we act in the face of danger, but also how we act in the face of having to look our truest selves in the face.

The reading is produced by Ben Holtzman and Sammy Lopez of Holtzman-Lopez Productions.
