Salaam Baalak Trust is a Delhi based NGO that works with street children. The organization has to its credit commendable works of providing children in vulnerable circumstances with shelter and education. If the name of the trust takes you back to a 1988 feature film by Mira Nair titled Salaam Bombay, then it should because the trust was formed after the mega success of the film on both national and international platforms.

It's been 30 years since the trust was set up and preparations are underway to mark the 30th anniversary of the noble work being undertaken by them. There are plans to host a concert to raise funds and also loo back at the wonderful moments the trust has seen along the years. Bollywood singer and composer Shekhar Ravjiani will be performing at the concert. The concert will be called Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and will be a tribute to none other than Jagjit Singh.

The concert was first premiered at the famous Esplanade Concert Hall, Singapore in 2016. As expected the audiences were moved to the legendary music of Jagjit Singh and ended with a standing vocation. Some of the best known ghazals such as Tumko Dekha toh, Hoton Se Choolo Tum, Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar and many more.

To make the evening more special, the big draw would be the set of the same musicians who used to perform with the late singer will be on stage performing for the audience.
