Theatre Southwest Will Hold Auditions For A DOLL'S HOUSE

A Doll's House is by Henrik Ibsen and directed by Crys Hymel.

A revolutionary 1879 classic is once again at the forefront of women's changing place in the world. In their seemingly traditional, settled 19th Century marriage, Nora has kept a secret from her husband which after many years is about to be revealed.

CHARACTERS (3M/4W)

Torvald Helmer (late 30s - late 40s) Patriarch and husband to Nora.

Nora Helmer (late 20s - 30s) Torvald's wife..

Dr. Rank (40's to 60's) Family doctor and close friend of Torvald.

Mrs. Kristine Linde (close in age to Nora) Long-time friend of Nora's - widowed and desperate for help from the Helmers.

Krogstad (40s to 60s) Employee of the bank where Torvald works, desperate to keep his job.

Anne-Marie - Nursemaid

Helene - Maid

Auditions: Jan. 6th & 7th at 7pm

Performance Dates:
Fridays & Saturdays, Feb. 15 - March 9, 2019 at 8 pm
Matinee, Sunday Feb. 24 at 3 pm

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please bring a résumé, headshot and your completed audition form (download above). Actors are encouraged to attend both nights of auditions.
