February brings an incredible collaboration with the Fargo/Moorhead Symphony to present Moisés Kaufman’s “33 Variations”, featuring Concordia Music Department Chair John Roberts on piano. This imaginative play follows a modern day musicologist diagnosed with ALS as she races to finish her research on Beethoven. Across time, the ailing and deaf composer becomes obsessed with a simple waltz that spawns one of his greatest works, the Diabelli Variations. Plagued by illness, but gifted with passion, their parallel journeys entwine as they learn to embrace the gift of time and find peace in letting go.
Theatre B will partner with the Fargo/Moorhead Symphony as well as with Concordia College to feature Music Department Chair John Roberts on the piano, weaving Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations live throughout each performance.
