SEEKING

Equity actors and singers for various roles in the upcoming 2019-20 season.

PREPARATION

Two contrasting monologues exceeding no more than four minutes. If auditioning for A Little Night Music, please prepare two contrasting monologues exceeding no more than three minutes plus a 32 bar (or I minute) Sondheim song (not from A Little Night Music).

Please have two headshots/resumes.

#25: Any ethnicity. Defense, Captain. Classic (ex)coach’s daughter. Seventeen. Must be believable as a high school student.

#13: Any ethnicity. Midfield. Stoner, older pot dealer brother, into her wackiness. Sixteen.

#46: Any ethnicity. Bench. New girl. Awkward, different, just wants to fit in. Sixteen. Must be believable as a high school student.

#2: Any ethnicity. Defense. Innocent, unlucky, kind, skinny. Sixteen. Must be believable as a high school student.

#7: Any ethnicity. Striker. Too cool for school. Sarcastic, thick eyeliner. Almost seventeen. Must be believable as a high school student

#14 : Any ethnicity. Midfield. #7’s insecure sidekick. Just switched to contacts. Sixteen. Must be believable as a high school student.

#8: Any ethnicity. Defense. Plays dumber than she is. Sixteen. Must be believable as a high school student.

Kendra Ellis-Connor: African American; female; 40’s- 50’s (CAST)

Scott Connor: White; male; 40’s- 50’s; Kendra’s estranged husband; an FBI agent of predominantly Irish ancestry; takes pride in his family’s long tradition of military service; though rigid in his views, he has a warm, sensitive side and is a deeply loving and devoted father; has obvious contained power, but when pushed can explode.

Officer Paul Larkin: White; male; mid-20s to 30 (CAST).

Lieutenant John Stokes: African-American; male; late 40s-60s; a tough, no-nonsense, career police officer who is used to having people listen when he talks; he has paid his dues; he knows the rules and has no hesitation enforcing them.

Madame Armfeldt: Any ethnicity. 70’s – 80’s. Desiree's elderly mother; brutally honest and a veteran of discreet encounters with the crowned heads of Europe. Vocal range: F#4 to C3. Must read music.

Henrik Egerman: Any ethnicity. 18-21. Fredrick's gloomy son. He is serious but confused, as he studies for the Lutheran priesthood. Vocal range: B4 to G3. Must read music.

Anne Egerman: Any ethnicity. 18 to 21. Giddy and virginal; naive at times. A breathtakingly gorgeous child bride and Fredrick's new wife. Vocal range Ab5 to G#3. Must read music.

Fredrick Egerman: Any ethnicity. 40’s to 50’s. Middle-aged lawyer who is married to his second wife, Anne, and has a son, Henrik, from his first marriage. Vocal range: E4 to A2. Must read music.

Petra: Any ethnicity. 20’s. Anne's earthy maid and closest confidante. (CAST)

Desiree Armfeldt: Any ethnicity. 40’s to 50’s. (CAST)

Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm: Any ethnicity. 40’s. Vain, arrogant, and splendidly proportioned but ferociously jealous. He is Desiree's newest lover. Vocal range: F#4 to G3. Must read music.

Countess Charlotte Malcolm: Any ethnicity. 40’s. (CAST)

Fredrika Armfeldt: Any ethnicity. 12-15. Desiree's witty daughter. Self-contained and formal with the precise diction of the convent-trained. Vocal range, C4-Eb5, soprano. Actresses with piano experience preferred. (There will also be a separate audition for this role on an upcoming date TBD)

Liebeslieder Singers:
Any ethnicity. A group of five singers that act as a Greek chorus. Includes: Mr. Lindquist, Bb2-F4, baritone; Mrs. Nordstrom, Ab3–E6, soprano; Mrs. Anderson, Ab3–Bb5, soprano; Mr. Erlanson, C3–Bb4, tenor; and Mrs. Segstrom, Ab3–G5, mezzo-soprano. Must read music.
