Preparation
Please prepare a short contemporary pop song you love to sing, that shows off your voice. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.

Bring picture and resume stapled together.

Vocal improv skills a plus.

SEEKING:

JACOB
(18+ to play a teenager) African or African American. Mysterious & wounded, but also kind and loving. Harbors a dark secret. Seeking an extremely strong actor/singer who moves well. African Dialect.

JOY
(Late 20s-Mid 30s). African or African American. Poised, authoritative & stern, but still appealing. A woman with a dark past who has learned to move forward and not look back. Older than the rest, but still has a youthful appearance. She runs the house and keeps everyone, especially Jacob, on a tight leash. Seeking a strong actor comfortable with singing. African dialect.

RYAN
Female (20s) Caucasian. Griffin’s best friend. Soulful and smart. Seeking a strong actress with an excellent pop voice. Mezzo Soprano. Extremely interested in a strong pop sound. No musical theatre voices. Interested in all physical types. Guitar playing is a plus, but not necessary.

RONNY
(18+ to play a teenager) African or African American. A deep thinker of strong faith with an understated sense of humor. Seeking a strong actor/singer who moves well. African dialect. Bari-Tenor/Tenor.
