SEEKING

Actor/singer/dancers for the upcoming season.

PREPARATION

Prepare 16-32 bars of an up-tempo and a ballad (classic musical theatre pieces preferred) and a one minute comic monologue.

Bring sheet music in your key- an accompanist will be provided. No tapes or CDs permitted.
Bring a non-returnable headshot and resume.

Elder Shumway: Male, 25-35. Range A2 – G#4. A Mormon missionary, companion to Braithwaite and not as devoted to the Mission. He wants to be a star.

Seeking two women, two men (Sop, Alto, Tenor and Baritone) who are excellent sight-readers and harmony singers.

Man #1: CAST

Man #2: Legit Lyric Baritone up to a G. A young Sinatra-type. This actor should have all American boy good looks and be a physical contrast to the actor playing Man #1. Must be a capable part singer.

Woman #1: Mezzo-Soprano with a strong belt. An Ava Gardner-type who is dark, sensual, exotic with striking good looks. She is a classy dame who drips with style, sophistication, and class. This actress sings through a wide range vocally and must also be a capable part singer.

Woman #2: Mezzo-Soprano with some Soprano parts. A Blonde Bombshell-type or with a smile that lights up the room. She should be able to project an energetic sexuality to the audience. Vocally this character needs to have that same smooth liquid big band singer sound of the 40's. A strong dancer with tap skills would be a big plus.

Seeking 6 versatile African-American men with great harmony skills and comedic timing who move well (some Tap dancing ideal).

Big Moe: Male, 40-60. Vocal range C3- A5. An authoritative, stern, and wise Moe who is single with a large build.

Eat Moe: Male, 30-50. Vocal range Bb2- Ab4. A hungry Moe who is merry, optimistic, cheery and overweight.

Four-eyed Moe: Male, 30-50. Vocal Range C3-G4. The bespectacled, clear-sighten leader of the group who is irreverent and magnetic.

Little Moe: Male, 30-50. Vocal range C3- Ab4. A small, single Moe who likes his chicks large. He is sensitive to his size and very short-tempered.

No Moe: Male, 30-50. Vocal range C3-G4. A straight-laced, conservative, and high-classed Moe with a sense of humor.

Nomax: Male, 25-35. Vocal range Ab2-G4. A naive, self-absorbed, deadbeat who is depressed about his girlfriend issues and needs to get his life together.

Janet: Alto 1. She is the Narrator who reads intelligent and self-confident, yet vulnerable.

Samantha: Soprano 1. She plays bright but innocent and naive with good comic timing. Able to sing pop, jazz and Broadway.

Rosa: Alto 2. Young African-American. She is strong, sassy and able to sing jazz, pop and R&B.

Eden: Soprano 2. She is sexy, demonstrative and able to sing Broadway, jazz, and pop.

Seeking extremely versatile musical theatre performers with strong characterization skills, dialects (German, Italian, Southern, Spanish) and excellent comic timing. Each actor plays five distinctly different characters.

Woman 1: Female, 30s-50s. Vocal Range- D3 - F5 (belt). Attractive, funny with strong stage presence. Must be able to sing wide range of styles from Country to Opera. Plays Barbie, Sophia, Gretchen, Rosalinda and Kitty.

Man 1: Male, 30s-50s. Vocal Range- F#2 - Ab4 (+ Frankie Vali falsetto to B5). Attractive, charming and funny. Plays Matt, Gino, Klaus, Guillermo and Clutch.

Man 2: Male, 30s-50s. Vocal Range- Ab2 - Ab4. High-energy and extremely funny. Plays Dean, Carlo, Heimlich, Ernesto and Pops.
