SYNOPSIS: Fortune has smiled on artist Bill Jameson – his friends just introduced him to a model for the final piece of his triptych on Black womanhood. But this woman, Tomorrow Marie, is no mere muse, and she’s about to give Bill much more than he bargained for. Set against the backdrop of the 1964 Harlem riot on a hot summer night.

[TOMMOROW MARIE (AKA TOMMY)] 30, female-identifying, A Black woman factory worker whose place has just burned down. She was denied the same type of education of others. For Bill, Tommy is meant to model the worst kind of Black woman as he designs his triptych painting on Black womanhood. She's referred to as a messed up chick, the worst gal in town. When she realizes these people are not her friends, she holds them accountable and offers them a lesson for their failures.
[BILL JAMESON] 33, male-identifying, Black. An Artist.
[OLDTIMER] 60s, male-identifying, Black. An old roustabout character.
[SONNY-MAN] 27, male-identifying, Black. A writer.
[CYNTHIA] 25, female-identifying, Black. A social worker. She is Sonny-Man’s wife.
Please prepare a short contemporary dramatic monologue, or a narrative based/stream of consciousness monologue, or contemporary soliloquy that shows the inner thoughts of a character.
