Come prepared to dance jazz and tap if you are a tapper (bring tap shoes if you have). Auditions will be held in 1-hour increments. Singing/acting auditions will be held the following week.

Except as noted, all roles sing/dance, including tap dancing for many.
JOE ALEXANDER, aspiring actor/playwright (25-30), extremely talented, and ambitious but mistrustful and hotheaded to the point of self-defeat
JIMMY ALEXANDER, Joe's younger brother (23-ish) sweet, self-effacing, conciliatory, a small-town boy
JOHN ALEXANDER, Joe's older brother (30-35 ish) a levelheaded counselor, practical, ambitious
SUSAN CAMPBELL, Jimmy's fiancée (23-ish) talented but not ambitious, a small-town girl
TONY ALEXANDER, father of Joe, Jimmy and John (50-60) Peoria cabaret owner and operator, disappointed with his career, haunted by the past
PRESTON FADHAM, Broadway producer (50-ish) overworked, overstressed big time success yearning for a simpler life (NO tap dancing)
MS. CHAPMAN, Fadham's assistant (40-50) buttoned down and efficient but still water runs deep (NO tap dancing)
LINDSAY WALDEN, (35-65), any gender, Broadway director, very upper crust British (NO tap dancing)
