Preparation
Actors may choose one or more scenes from the play and/or choose one or more readings from other sources. Sides will be available at the auditions. A reader will be provided. Scripts are available at the Stage Source office, 88 Tremont Street, Suite 714 in Boston, MA.

EPA for the season musicals held on 6/10, 2pm to 6pm. See separate notice

Auditions will be by appointment in five minute time slots. AEA members without appointments will be seen as time permits.

IAN:
JULIANNA’S husband. Early 50s. An oncologist. Patient and caring.

THE WOMAN:
Late 20s to early 30s. Portrays DR. CINDY TAYLOR, a neurobiologist; LAUREL, JULIANNA and IAN’s daughter; and A WOMAN.

THE MAN:
Late 30s. Portrays RICHARD SILLNER, JULIANNA’S assistant and son-in-law; and BOBBY, a nurse.

The following role has been cast:
JULIANNA: Early 50s. Sharply charismatic scientist. Fiercely intelligent.

Seeking:

LEANNA: 50s. Inuit. Climate change activist. Intense, passionate, on a mission, and slightly over-caffeinated.

JEAN: 40s. Quebecois (French Canadian). Climate researcher with a specialty in ice. Recently divorced.

THOMAS: 40s. English-Canadian. Officer for the Canadian Coast Guard's Marine Communications and Traffic Services.

VERONICA: 30s. Inuit. LEANNA's daughter. Teaches at the high school and performs spoken word poetry. Also plays MAMA, an adult polar bear.

DAUGHTER: A young polar bear cub. Also plays NULIAJUK, Inuit goddess of oceans and the Underworld.

RAPHAEL: 30s. Second generation Quebecois (before coming to Canada, his family may have been from the Caribbean, Africa, or Central America - somewhere warmer). Officer for the Canadian Coast Guard's Marine Communications and Traffic Services. Warm, gregarious, idealistic.

KUVAGEEGAI: 60s. Inuit Elder.
