groundbreaking music of the 70s! Rediscover the heart and soul of this fabulous decade with this
joyously rousing musical featuring the music of The Emotions, The Carpenters, Barry Manilow, Marvin
Gaye, The Doobie Brothers, The Bee Gees and more!

SOPRANO: The “Seeker.” Alluring. Soulfully searching for a spiritual path through the decade. Pop Second Soprano with tons of soul. Vocal Range: E Flat Belt to C, Strong mix to F#

ALTO: The “Feminist” Radiating a new-found pride, rock-chick power, seductiveness and vulnerability. Great Pop-Rock Sound. Vocal Range: E Flat Belt to B, Strong mix to C#

SYNOPSIS:

Southeastern Regional Premiere! This new musical features a score by Stephen Schwartz and incorporates over two dozen of his beloved songs from Wicked, Pippin, Godspell and more! When married couple, Sue and Dan, discover a box of photographs after their son goes to college, they embark on a beautiful journey to the past and rediscover their true love.

SUE: 40s to 50s. A middle-aged woman who is frustrated with her marriage and is planning to leave her husband. She loves Dan but is looking for more from their life together and isn’t finding it. Vocal Range: G#3 - F5

DAN: 40s to 50s. A middle-aged man who struggles with expressing his feelings. His wife, Sue, is a childhood friend with whom he grew up through college and into their adult lives. Although Dan cares deeply for Sue, he is unable to communicate it and often uses humor to avoid tough situations. Vocal Range: A2 - E4

MAN ONE/DANNY: 18 to 25. Doubles as 11–18-year-old Dan, Ad Writer, Peter, Dan Double, Marilou, Doctor & Matt. Vocal Range: B2 - A4

SYNOPSIS:

Everyone’s favorite girl group from the 60s is back together again after twenty years and they’re bringing back the sun, fun and all the great songs they sang down on the boardwalk in 1964! With a show that promises to get everyone dancing in the aisles, the women relive their heyday and beyond, singing hits like “It’s in His Kiss,” “Yellow Polka Dot Bikini,” “Heat Wave,” “Under the Boardwalk,” “When Will I Be Loved,” “It’s Raining Men” and more!

JODI: Plays 30s – 40s. Annie’s sister. Originally from Paramus, NJ. In control and a bit passive aggressive. A corporate success with a failed marriage. Vocally gravitates to the pop world. Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano/Belt, A2 to E4

ANNIE: Plays 30s – 40s. Jodi’s sister. Still a bit of a hippie and never married. Originally from Paramus, NJ. Took care of her parents at Sandy Shores Mobile Home Beach Resort on the Jersey Shore. Rock and Roller, who loves causes. Vocal Range: Rock Alto Belt, A2 to E4

KARLA: Plays 30s – 40s. Jodi and Annie’s “fun loving” cousin from Philly. As a teenager, she was wild, and she still likes to stir it up. Loves her husband of 25 years. Vocally, lives in the rock/pop world. Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano to Soprano and belt, B2 to E4

BARBARA: Plays 30s – 40s. Their best friend from Staten Island. Says what she thinks with no apologies. Never thought she could love anything more than THE BIKINIS and R&B, until she met her husband, Benny. Vocal Range: Soul/R & B Alto, Gb2 to C3

SYNOPSIS:

An audience favorite from the Playhouse’s 1st Annual Florida Festival of New Musicals! Inspired by the life of Porfirio Rubirosa, Gigolo uses a collection of iconic Cole Porter songs to tell the tale of a jet-setting, international playboy and his relationships with four beautiful women. The outstanding score features 25 Cole Porter classics including “You’re the Top,” “Let’s Do It,” “Why Can’t You Behave,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” and many more!

GIGOLO: Leading man type. Very handsome, charming with commanding stage presence. Someone both women and men could fall in love with. Vocal Range: Warm Baritone with a solid high A

WOMAN 1/THE NEW YORK HEIRESS: Beautiful, sophisticated and extremely wealthy. Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano A3-G5

WOMAN 2/THE HOLLYWOOD ACTRESS: Glamorous actress from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Very beautiful and “experienced.” Vocal Range: Soprano, up to an F#

SYNOPSIS:

Jump in the car and enjoy a high-octane musical celebration along the iconic ROUTE 66! From the sounds of 1950s Chicago to the California surf music of the 1960s, this exciting musical features 34 of the greatest ‘Rock ‘n’ Road’ hits of the 20th century!

SCOT: Male Tenor I. Very strong falsetto. Sings the very high Beach Boy-style wah-oohs throughout the show. Vocal Range: D—Bb (F#) Approx. Vocal Range: D – Bb (F#). Plays live acoustic guitar on “Used to Be.” Sings lead/secondary on: “Hot Rod Queen,” “Mother Road,” “Used to Be,” “Beep Beep,” “Truck Stop Cutie,” “The Long Red Line,” “Diesel on my Tail,” “The Little Old Lady from Pasadena,” “Hey Little Cobra.”

ANDY: Male Tenor II. Strong falsetto. Sings the falsetto parts when Scot is singing the lead. Vocal Range: C—G (Db). Sings lead/secondary on: “Every Woman I Know,” “Mother Road,” “Tulsa Straight Ahead,” “Long Tall Texan,” “Don’t Haul Bricks on 66,” “Dead Man’s Curve,” “GTO.” Plays the waitress in “Truck Stop Cutie.”

BRANDON: Male Bari-tenor/Bass. Sings low trucker songs, many solos in tenor range. Vocal Range: (A) B—E (with strong G). Sings lead/secondary on: “Let’s Go for a Ride,” “Girl on the Billboard,” “Beep Beep,” “Rolaids, Doan’s Pills and Preparation H,” “Gallop to Gallup,” “Diesel on my Tail,” “Highway Patrol,” “SS 396.”

MICHAEL: Male Baritone/Bass. Vocal Range: G—F; Vocally sings bass line, most solos are in Bari-tenor range. Sings lead/secondary on: “Bring my Cadillac Back,” “Used to Be,” “Six Days on the Road,” “Oklahoma Hills,” “Truck Drivin’ Man,” “Don’t Haul Bricks on 66,” “King of the Road,” “Move Out Little Mustang.” Doubles as the little old lady from Pasadena.
