Breakdown
RICHARD SHERMAN
42-50, attractive, cerebral, quirky, lascivious in a humorous way. The actor should possess an excellent sense of comedy.
HELEN SHERMAN
Richard’s wife: 40-45, pretty, down-to-Earth, confident.
THE GIRL
(the Marilyn Monroe role) 21-25, beautiful, innately naïve, inherently sexy and charismatic without having to work at it. Not looking for a Marilyn Monroe impersonation.
MISS MORRIS, ELAINE, MARIE:
Three women about whom Richard fantasizes. All between the ages of 21-35; attractive. All must play sexy fantasies in one scene and wholesome, confident women in another.
DR. BRUBAKER
50-60, psychiatrist, preposterously intelligent, a Sigmund Freud type.
TOM MACKENZIE
40-50, unbelievably attractive and charismatic; the epitome of the good-looking, successful, all-American type.
RICKY
Richard’s son; must be able to pass for 7 years old; a nice, wholesome kid.
