SEEKING (roles are available unless otherwise specified):
Stella Purdy: The nutty professor’s love interest, a college student, gorgeous, street-smart, sexy blonde with great energy, very likeable, REQUIRES VERY STRONG SINGING WITH GOOD AND HIGH BELT TO D, leading lady. Prototype: Megan Hilty.
Miss Lemon: Good hearted, battle-ax secretary (but with a strong sexuality) of the Dean of Korwin College, she is desperately in love with her boss, very strong mezzo, 40’s-50’s, major role. Prototype: Ethel Merman.
Dean Warfield: male, in his 60’s, Dean of Korwin College, full of himself, full of hot air, wonderful comic actor, good, strong singer, major role. Prototype: John Larroquette.
Male Character Actor: All 4 characters will be played by one versatile comic actor/singer. All four characters (plus another?) add up to a major role. He must be a high-baritone. Must be a skilled physical comic. Prototype: Danny Burstein. Characters:
a. Carrington Ridgeway: wealthy, older patron of Korwin College
b. Murray: a middle aged, “borscht belt” haberdasher
c. Maury: Murray’s twin, flighty owner of a weight-loss gym
d. Bartender of Buddy’s Place: dry, funny.
Buddy/Julius: CAST (Michael Andrew). Auditioning performers will be considered as stand-bys and as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary. the nutty professor. An incredibly intelligent, shy, naïve college professor, late 20’s-mid 30’s, wonderful voice, high baritone, spectacularly fine physical comedian.
