THE LITTLE FELLOW

SEEKING:

Dynamic and virtuosic performers who are capable of portraying numerous vivid characters.

HARRIET WALISON - She/Her. Any Race/Ethnicity. Mid 20s to Mid 30s. Arguably England's most popular high-class prostitute. Also Known as the Little Fellow or the Queen of Tarts. Not a traditional beauty. Clawed her way to the top. Clever, shameless. Capable of great nastiness. Hot-tempered, often offensive; not a nice person. Witty. Vulgar. Frustrated. Has a secret.

JULIA JOHNSTONE - She/Her. POC. Mid 20s to Mid 30s. Harriet's greatest rival in high-class prostitution. Also known as the Clever Hart. Sophisticated, clever. Wiser than Harriet. Capable of great nastiness. Very popular, and very prudent. Not bad-natured, but can fight as well as anyone. Doubles with Old Woman.

MARY - ROLE IS CAST - She/Her. Any Race / Ethnicity. Early to Mid 20s. Harriet's young maid. Used to live in abject poverty on the street; Harriet has taken her in. An orphan who has nowhere else to go. Cockney or Irish. Very earnest; naturally loving and concerned with other's welfare. Not a very good maid, but a very good person. Romantic, in her heart. Doubles multiple roles.

MALE TRACK - He/Him. Any Race/Ethnicity. Mid 30s to Early 50s. This track covers two primary male roles, The Duke and George Hill. Arthur Wellsly, Duke of Wellington is England's hero. Powerful, very rich. A military man. A man of privilege. Has a secret. Accustomed to getting his way. Very smart. Capable of being dangerous. George is a Libertine with an active conscience. Role of the Duke may be split into his own track.
