SEEKING
Equity actor/singers for all roles in the 2019 Season. 2019 Summer productions include: On Your Feet, The Sound of Music, The Bodyguard, and one more production TBA . We are also all roles for our 2019 holiday production, Elf.
SM/ASM positions may be available. See separate notice on Casting Call for submission info. No personnel with authority to hire SM/ASMs will be in attendance at the EPA.
PREPARATION
Please prepare a song in the style of one of our season productions that best shows range and ability. Candidates may be asked to sing a second selection.

Young Emilio/Nayib: Male, age 12; Emilio as a boy and Nayib Gloria’s son, straightforward, determined, strong, must speak fluent Spanish and does not need to sing, principal.
Gloria Estefan: Female, 20-30, Cuban, initially shy, opens up as the story progresses, becomes an icon, sharp sense of humor, good actress, must speak fluent Spanish and sing well, principal
Emilio Estefan: Male, 30-40, Cuban, confident, handsome, sometimes stumbles over his emotions...and his English; loyal, leading man with character, must speak fluent Spanish and sing well, principal.
Gloria Fajardo: Female, 50-60, Cuban, Gloria’s mother, brassy, strong-willed, Latin matriarch, survivor, biting humor, must speak fluent Spanish and sing well, principal.
Consuelo: Female, 65-75, Cuban, Gloria’s grandmother, Cuban stage mother, sometimes an apparition, wise, loving, warm, Gloria’s guardian angel, must speak fluent Spanish and be able to carry a tune, principal.
Young Gloria: Female, 10-12, Cuban, innocent, but smart and self-reliant; slightly sad, but always full of hope, must speak fluent Spanish and sing well, principal.

Frank Farmer: Male, 40-49 a former C.I.A. agent, physically fit, lithe and athletic; sharp witted and instinctive; handsome and charismatic. He radiates a silent strength, an American alpha man type. Frank sings one song in a karaoke style. He need not be a major singer, just have the confidence to sing in front of a theatre audience. ETHNICITY: Caucasian
Nicki Marron: Female, 18+ Rachel's older sister, late 30s; a very talented singer who has taken a back seat to her sisters rising star. Quiet type but attractive. Must be a very strong singer. Nicki must have a very soulful, gospel-tinged voice. She sings ballads in the show and so should have a warm resonance, excellent pitch and an ability to riff. Range from G below middle C to E at top of staff. ETHNICITY: African American
Bill Devaney: Male, 50-59 Rachel Marron's long-standing Manager/Guardian Angel. He has looked after her from the start and runs her life. A kind and loyal man who always has Rachel’s best interests at heart. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.
Tony: Male, 30-39 Rachel Marron's security, broad shoulders, narrow hips, classic bouncer physique. He is fiercely protective of Rachel and would do anything for her. A kind man. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.
Sy Spector: Male, 40-49 Rachel's publicist, deeply ambitious and doesn't suffer fools or indeed anyone who isn't doing exactly what he wants; bullish and quick. His belief is that the whole Oscar nomination for Rachel is because of his hard work and his alone! He believes he is her driving force. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.
Stalker: Male, 20-39 Rachel Marron's stalker, military type, weird, outcast; should be able to sing comfortably in a tenor range; has one featured solo vocal line. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.

Max Detweiller: Male, 40-59 witty and clever impresario who can be charmingly pushy when pursuing what he wants; strong character actor with good sense of comedy; baritone; principal. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.
Mother Abbess: Female, 40-59 wise, kind and strong; powerful chest and head voice; mezzo or soprano (B-Ab); principal. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.

Buddy: Male, 25-35 born a human but raised at the North Pole as a Christmas Elf, Buddy is eager to find his place in the world. He is a child at heart, and that child-like curiosity makes him both endearing and gets him into trouble; vocal range top: C5; vocal range bottom: Ab2. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.
Jovie: Female, 25-30 Buddy's girlfriend. She works at Macy's and has a bit of a cynical outlook on life and love because of the men she's dated. She is caught off guard by Buddy's genuinely big heart; vocal range top: D5; vocal range bottom: G3. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.
Walter: Male, 55-65 Buddy's workaholic father. He is a children's book writer but lacks any of the childlike spirit that Buddy has. He is selfish, tense, and generally angry with life; vocal range top: G4; vocal range bottom: A2. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.
Emily: Female, 40-50 Walter's wife. Though she is sweet and willing to take him in, she thinks Buddy is crazy at first. Wishes her husband would spend more time with the family; vocal range top: Eb5; vocal range bottom: F3. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.
Michael: Male, 10-12 Buddy's stepbrother who is excited to have a new friend and brother. Deb: Female, 25-55 Walter's secretary. Takes an instant liking to Buddy simply for the novelty of it. Though she aims to please and is a bit of a suck-up, she feels under appreciated; vocal range top: Eb5; vocal range bottom: C4. ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.
Manager: Male, 35-40 a heavy-set manager at Macy's. He is a good, friendly guy just trying to do his job and get by; vocal range top: F#4; vocal range bottom: B2 ETHNICITY: Any ethnicity.
