**The role of Lurch has been cast.
**The role of Morticia has been cast and will be played by Rachel York. (Update: 7/2/15)
**The role of Gomez has an offer pending. (Update:7/2/15)

GOMEZ ADDAMS – Male, 40’s-50’s (Strong Tenor). A man in his prime, of Spanish descent and a wild Iberian passion. Adores his wife, takes great pride in his children, and, in the larger sense, in his family. He revels in all it means to be an “Addams.” His desire for Morticia is undimmed after 20 years of marriage, and it takes very little to fire up his lust, although it appears they haven’t tango’d in quite some time. He struggles with having to keep his daughter’s secret from his wife, whom he adores more than death. Smart and honest actor with great comedic timing. He MUST move very well. A dancer, or a ballroom dancer, is preferred, but will not take priority over the acting and voice. As the tallest member of the Addams Family, aside from Lurch, we prefer someone 6’ or under in order to make the gap between Lurch and Gomez more dramatic, but we will consider all.

UNCLE FESTER: Male, 40’s – 50’s (Tenor). The androgynous family member who serves as the musical’s narrator. Fester is larger than life, child-like, hugely enthusiastic, and totally incorrigible. A strong vaudevillian style comedian. An honest and sweet actor with a strong tenor voice. He should be physically round ish/stocky. Must be willing to shave head for the role. Moves well.

WEDNESDAY ADDAMS: Female, 18-21 (Strong Pop/Rock Belt). Wednesday is an attractive, in shape girl who has the same dry wit and sensibility of her mother. Finds love with a "normal" boy (Lucas) and wants to introduce his family to hers. Experiences the youthful drama that comes with first love. Lucas can actually put a smile on her face. Great actor with strong, witty, DRY sense of humor. A dancer is a plus, but must be a strong mover. I do not want an ingénue; at all. I do not want to take this role the way it was directed for Broadway; just personal preference. I want Wednesday to be the Wednesday fans all know and love and to find fun and new ways to interpret the material. I do not want to see “Pulled” performed like an angsty ingénue. I want to see her dark side fighting the light. Still finding great levels so that it isn’t at one bland level and expressionless, but not over the top as though she is infected with sweetness. We need to see her be Wednesday.

GRANDMAMA: Female, 50’s – 70’s. Ancient. Good-natured, easily led. She is a feisty 102 year old woman. Fun and quirky, but don’t mess with Grandma; she will cut you. Comedic actress with strong character vocals. Must be EXCELLENT with comedy. Moves well.

PUGSLEY ADDAMS: Male, child option is around age 12, will also consider young adult or teen option. (Strong, high vocals). Plump, adorable and FUNNY....A charming, funny, husky boy who loves being tortured by his sister. He wants to ensure he won’t lose his sister to her new boyfriend so he takes matters into his own hands. His singing voice needs to be big and unchanged. I do not want the typical theatre kid that is a performer who just knows how to be cute. I want an actor. A kid who knows how to be a kid. NOTE: Since everyone seems to have aged in this musical, except for Pugsley, I will consider young adult or teen options, especially if they can sing these vocals in a sweet spot. These options would need to be in around 5’ ish. Not much taller if at all. I would still want the same archetype. If we go this route it’s the parents keeping their children as children and afraid to let them grow up.

COLONEL MAL BEINECKE: Male, 40’s – 50’s (High Baritone/Tenor). Stuffy father of 19 year old Lucas and exasperated husband to his rhyming wife, Alice. Military man, a man who must be obeyed, with little patience for his wife and son. At one time was a follower of The Grateful Dead but has lost that side of himself. Wants to be bigger than Trump, and he'll lie, cheat and steal for acre of swamp. Great actor with a great voice.

ALICE BEINECKE: Female, early 40’s (Soprano Belt). Mother of 19 year old Lucas, devoted to her family so she puts aside her own desires. In shape, quirky female who often speaks in rhyme. She truly loves her husband and loves that he takes charge; removing any responsibility from her for making decisions. However, since he has become more distant, she has taken to drinking. She has refocused her love to her only son, Lucas. While at the Addams Family dinner party, she drinks a potion that causes her to let her hair down and speak her truth. Must be very funny and sing very well. Strong, comedic actor.

LUCAS BEINECKE: Male, Early 20’s (Pop/Rock Tenor). Open to two different looks and takes. Option 1 (traditional): Attractive, in shape young man. Someone you would expect to date a popular girl from a well to do family. Option 2: Attractive, but quirky/nerdy. Someone that has never been wildly accepted by his peers and might even be a bit of an underdog. A kid that has a overly doting and attentive mother and a father that he will never live up to, so he ends up being a slightly darker nerdy kid. BOTH OPTIONS: Fell in love with Wednesday at first sight and plans to marry her. A writer, he has conflicts with his father's closed-minded ways. Experiences the youthful pain and drama of young love and struggles with the differences between his family and the Addams family. A classic co-dependent, Lucas feels good when everybody's happy. A strong actor with a killer voice. Moves very well.

ENSEMBLE NOTE: Ideally these people are all triple threats. We are casting 5-7 men and 5-7 women. If they aren’t all true triple threats and working with the number 5 men/women there are 2 dancers that sing well, 2 singers that dance well and 1 singer that moves REALLY WELL. Excellent with different physicalities, etc. They play the dead ancestors of the Addams Family and help narrate the show as a Greek chorus of sorts with Uncle Fester. They all are different people from different moments in time from a cavemen to a flight attendant and everywhere in between. Puppeteer skills are a plus!

ENSEMBLE SINGERS: Ages 20’s – 50’s. All vocal ranges needed; gorgeous legit high tenors and sopranos to rich altos and bass/baritones. We are looking for performers of all types, ages, and ethnicities. Male and female ensemble singers who move extremely well and are strong, great actors/smart performers.

ENSEMBLE DANCERS: Ages 20’s – 50’s. All vocal ranges needed. We are looking for performers of all types, ages, and ethnicities. Male and female trained dancers with excellent technique who sing and have a fun, quirky sensibility. Knowledge of tango and flamenco dancing a plus. They must sing well and hold their own harmony.
