APPOINTMENTS

Requests for an audition appointment should be e-mailed to CabaretAuditions@pittsburghclo.org. Please include: 1) Your full name, 2) Your preferred phone number, 3) The role(s) for which you are interested in being considered, 4) Your requested audition time (please provide availability in at least 30-minute increments). Equity members without appointments will be seen throughout the audition day as time permits.

CONTRACT

SPT Tier 9; $679/week

SEEKING

Equity Actors who sing to an extremely high standard and move well for this high spirited and fun off-Broadway hit musical parody.

PREPARATION

Auditioners should prepare your best 16 bars of 2 contrasting songs which show range & comic ability for initial session. Sides may be given on the day as required. For DIVA and FEMAIL PERFORMER roles, material to show ability to impersonate Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli & Patti LuPone would be great if possible. See below for additional information. Bring legible sheet music in the correct key.

All auditioners must bring a typed resume, a completed audition application and a headshot. Applications can be downloaded from our website, www.pittsburghclo.org/pages/clo_auditions or picked up at audition.

BREAKDOWN

Show Description: The “convulsively funny” (The New York Times) parody from Gerard Alessandrini, the comic mastermind behind the long-running hit Forbidden Broadway. After tearing it up in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, Spamilton: An American Parody will stage a singing, dancing, comedy revolution in Pittsburgh.

FEMALE PERFORMER:
20 - 39. Any ethnicity. A performer who could, conceivably, be cast in Hamilton. Tremendous singer with expert vocal versatility - great belter and also soprano - and comfortable with handling rap! An expert, fearless comedienne, with an ability to do impersonations a plus.

MALE PERFORMER:
20 - 39, Hispanic. Lin-Manuel Miranda type. Must be a great singer, good rapper, and great actor with dynamic personality. Must be able to impersonate Lin-Manuel.

MALE PERFORMER 2:
20 - 39, African-American. A Versatile singer/actor to play many roles. Could be tall and/or big man with funny, strong voice; tenor – falsetto mix is a plus.

MALE PERFORMER 3:
20 – 39, African-American. Comedic young leading man type with strong baritone/tenor voice. To play many roles: George Washington, Genie from Aladdin, Annie, the Lion King, etc.

MALE PERFORMER 4:
20 – 39, African-American. Comic leading young man type with strong baritone/tenor voice. Should be comfortable with rapping. To play: Daveed Diggs, Barack Obama, Brian Stokes Mitchell, etc.

FEMALE “GUEST DIVA” PERFORMER:
20 – 49, any ethnicity. Able to impersonate Bernadette Peters, Patti LuPone, Liza and Judy, etc.

MALE SWING: 18+

FEMALE SWING: 18+
