SEEKING
English and Spanish-speaking actors. Actors of all races, ethnic, and gender identities are encouraged to attend. See breakdown for details.
PREPARATION
Actors are encouraged to prepare two comedic Shakespeare monologues for the audition.
**Spanish-speaking actors are asked to prepare a monologue in Spanish (Shakespeare or otherwise) to also perform. Please bring two copies of your headshot and two resumes.

There is street parking available with limited parking behind the mansion/office. Please note the herringbone brick of the Tudor home as a reference guide/landmark for your travel. Auditions will take place in the ballroom of the space.

Callbacks are Monday, January 29, 2018 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the former Durfee Middle School now known as Life Remodeled (10000 Linwood St, Detroit, MI 48206). The stage manager will contact those who are asked to attend with room number and additional info.
Actors can share, via their audition form onsite, which show they prefer to be considered for if there is only one show of interest.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

BREAKDOWN
The company is auditioning for its summer 2018 season.These include Much Ado Para Nada, a dual language adaptation from Shakespeare by Bernardo Mazón and a modern-verse translation of Twelfth Night originally commissioned by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Play On! program. The directing team will be casting characters for Much Ado and Twelfth Night according to the actors seen during audition times. Please see Shakespeare’s works for traditional character breakdowns as a point of reference. Important info regarding Much Ado Para Nada: Some characters may only speak Spanish, some may speak both Spanish and English and others may only be English speaking characters. A diversity of Spanish dialects are welcomed and encouraged.
