AUDITION DATE

Jan 21, 2017

10:00 am - 1:00 pm (EST)

Sign-up begins at 9am. Singing audition takes place 10am to 12pm. Then actors will be asked to stay for the dance portion of call from 12pm to 1pm.

APPOINTMENTS

No appointments. Everyone seen on first come first seen basis. Sign-up will begin 9am.

CONTRACT

TYA $489/week

SEEKING

Actor/Assistant Stage Manager and Singers who can dance for Principal roles.

PREPARATION

For the principal/singing auditions, prepare a brief song from a standard musical. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.
Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together

Also bring jazz and character shoes (with a heel for women) for the dance portion of the call to immediately follow.

BREAKDOWN

TOM
A young teacher who just received his degree. (HE sings the bottom line in the score.)

All of the following are figments of TOM's imagination. They each represent different parts of TOM that come out of the television set to help him on his first day of teaching:

GEORGE
the romantic side--caring and in control. (HE sings the top line in the score.)

DORI
the goofy side--silly and playful. (SHE sings the bottom line in the score.)

SHULIE
the sweet side--genuine. An ingenue. (SHE sings the top line in the score.)

JOE
the cool side--laid back and fun loving. (HE sings the middle line in the score.)

DINA
the mature side--thoughtful and grounded. (SHE sings the middle line in the score.)

All actors should be strong singers and dancers.
