MARGOT: Pop High Belt to Eb. 20’s. Margot is a sister of Delta Nu and a member of Elle’s “Greek Chorus.” She is energetic, youthful, and Elle’s cheerleader throughout the show. Featured in “Omigod You Guys” and “Bend, and Snap!”

SERENA: Pop High Belt to Eb. 20’s. Serena is a sister of Delta Nu and a member of Elle’s “Greek Chorus.” She is energetic, youthful, and Elle’s cheerleader throughout the show. Featured in “Omigod You Guys” and “Bend, and Snap!”
ELLE WOODS: High Pop Belt. 20’s. Sweet, bubbly, Delta Nu President Elle follows her ex-boyfriend, Warner, from UCLA to Harvard Law School. In her attempts to become what Warner wants she realizes that she is so much more than “blonde.” Bright, attractive, and determined, Elle is the center of the show and sings throughout including “Omigod You Guys,” “So Much Better,” “Take it Like a Man,” and “Legally Blonde.”
WARNER HUNTINGTON III: Pop Tenor. 20’s. Handsome, charming, and charismatic, Warner dumps Elle before leaving for law school. Despite his fondness for Elle, he can’t see past her looks and take her seriously. While not unkind, he is pompous and self-centered. Sings “Serious.”
EMMETT FORREST: Tenor. Mid 20’s – Early 30’s. A recent Harvard Law graduate and TA for Callahan, genuine and kind Emmett befriends Elle and uses his experience as an outsider to help her realize her full potential. Sings “Chip on my Shoulder.”
VIVIENNE KENSINGTON: Pop High Belt. 20’s. Smart, savvy, and driven Vivienne is Warner’s new “serious” girlfriend. While initially threatened by Elle’s ability to distract Warner, Vivienne becomes one of Elle’s strongest allies. Sings “Legally Blonde Remix.”
PROFESSOR CALLAHAN: Baritone. 40’s - 50’s. Callahan is the arrogant and clever Criminal Law Professor at Harvard. While encouraging of Elle’s legal career, he is later revealed to have ulterior motives. Sings “Blood in the Water.”
PAULETTE BONAFANTE: Soulful High Belt. 30’s - 40’s. Owner of the Hair Affair Salon, Paulette befriends Elle and encourages her to be true to herself. Born in Boston’s working class, boisterous and big-hearted Paulette longs for the love of a good man. Sings “Ireland.”
BROOKE WYNDHAM: Pop High Belt. 20’s - 30’s. A former Delta Nu and queen of her own fitness empire, Brooke is wrongfully accused of killing her elderly, wealthy husband and hires Callahan to lead her defense. Strong-willed and smart, she sees Elle’s potential. Sings “Whipped into Shape.”
ENID: Pop High Belt to F. 20’s. A fellow Harvard Law student, camo-wearing, smart Enid’s vocal feminism distinguishes her from the rest of her classmates. Sings in “The Harvard Variations.”
HELLO, DOLLY!
Rehearsal Begins: June 13, 2016 Performances: June 28 - July 3, 2016
MRS. DOLLY GALLAGHER LEVI: Alto Belt. Late 30’s – 40’s. Dolly Levi is an unflappable matchmaker, charismatic opportunist, and professional meddler in everyone’s business. She lives life with gusto, heart, and a commanding presence. Her songs include “I Put My Hand In,” “Before the Parade Passes By,” “Hello, Dolly” and “So Long, Dearie.”
ERNESTINA: Mezzo. 20’s- 30’s. Dolly’s calculated match for Horace Vandergelder, Rubenesque Ernestina is raucously loud and sans social graces.
AMBROSE KEMPER: Tenor. 20’s. A penniless young artist, Ambrose is desperately in love with Ermengarde. He employs Dolly’s services to secure their marriage despite Ermengarde’s custodian uncle’s disapproval. He must be a good dancer.
HORACE VANDERGELDER: Baritone. 40’s - 50’s. The well-known first citizen of Yonkers and half-a-millionaire, Vandergelder is the proprietor of the hay and feed store. Miserly, gruff, and unwavering, he employs Mrs. Levi to find him a wife. He sings “It Takes A Woman.”
ERMENGARDE: Mezzo. Early 20’s. Vandergelder’s 17-year-old niece, Ermengarde is desperately in love with Ambrose Kemper. Her Uncle’s disapproval of their match is the source of her perpetual angst and tears.
CORNELIUS HACKL: High Baritone. 30’s. The 33-year-old chief clerk of Vandergelder’s feed store, timid Cornelius is over-worked, under-paid, and yet remains eager to please. He longs for an adventure in New York City and springs at the first chance he gets to take one. His songs include “It Only Takes a Moment.”
BARNABY TUCKER: High Baritone. 20’s. Eager and naïve, Barnaby is Cornelius’ 17-year-old faithful right hand. He is easily swept up in Cornelius’ New York City adventure. He must be a strong dancer.
IRENE MOLLOY: Mezzo with lyrical mix. 30’s. A millineress and proprietor of her own hat shop in New York City, Irene was widowed too young and longs to reconnect with romance and life’s lighter side. She sings “Ribbons Down My Back.”
MINNIE FAY: Mezzo with bright mix. Early 20’s. Minnie is Mrs. Molloy’s young employee. A sweet chatterbox, she is a running commentary on propriety or lack thereof. She must be a good dancer.
RUDOLPH: 20’s-40’s. Rudolph is the Major-Domo of the Harmonia Gardens Restaurant in New York City.
JUDGE: 30’s-50’s. The Judge is a seasoned magistrate moved by Dolly’s romantically spun stories.
SEUSSICAL

THE CAT IN THE HAT: Male (low baritone) or female (alto belt). The Cat is the essence of mischief, fun and imagination. Though he stirs up trouble, the Cat always sets things right in the end. He plays multiple parts interwoven through the play and sometimes improvises with the audience. A presence in almost every scene, the Cat must be a strong singer with strong movement skills and comic ability. His songs include “Oh The Thinks You Can Think,” “A Day for the Cat in the Hat,” and “How Lucky You Are.”
HORTON THE ELEPHANT: Male, baritone. Horton is a gentle, imaginative elephant living in the Jungle of Nool. His big heart and strong sense of responsibility lead him to protect and eventually save the tiny planet of Who. He sings “Horton Hears a Who” and “Alone in the Universe.”
GERTRUDE MCFUZZ: Female, Soprano with good mix. Unassuming Gertrude is a shy and kind bird living in the Jungle of Nool. Her feelings for Horton prompt her to go to great lengths to attract his attention and garner his affection. She sings “Notice Me Horton.”
MAYZIE LABIRD: Female, alto with high belt. Self-serving and vain, Mayzie is a glamorous bird living in the Jungle of Nool. She exploits Horton into fostering her egg while she flies south for a vacation. She sings “Amazing Mayzie.”
SOUR KANGAROO: Female, alto with high belt. A brassy diva, the Sour Kangaroo torments Horton for his belief in the tiny planet of Who. She should be a strong singer and also voices her Young Kangaroo. She sings “Biggest Blame Fool.”
THE MAYOR OF WHOVILLE: Tenor. 30’s - 40’s. The Mayor of Whoville is JoJo’s father. Exasperated and confounded by his son’s “thinks,” he takes desperate measures to do what he believes is right for his family. He sings “How to Raise a Child.”
MRS. MAYOR: Mezzo with a good mix. 30’s - 40’s. Mrs. Mayor is JoJo’s mother. She and the Mayor resort to sending JoJo away to military school in order to rectify his constant “thinking.” She sings “How to Raise a Child.”
GENERAL GENGHIS KAHN SCHMITZ: Baritone 40’s - 50’s. The General runs the military academy where JoJo is sent. Pompous and proud, the General tasks his cadets. He sings “Military Academy.”
