Equity/non-Equity male and female actors. Dallas/Fort Worth area local hires only; no housing or travel can be provided. Please see breakdown.
Preparation
Two 32 bar cuts of different styles (one country, one pop or one rock, one Christmas, etc.) and be prepared to tell a joke or short story. BRING YOUR BOOK in case you are asked to sing something else.
An accompanist will be provided – bring sheet music, headshot and resume to the audition.

Addison's rock-n-soul holiday spectacle, ROCKIN' CHRISTMAS PARTY, reigns as one of our town's longest-running traditions! Bigger, brighter and merrier than ever, this award-winning production sure knows how to put the Christmas spirit in your heart as the cast shake, rattle and roll down Santa Claus Lane! It's great fun for the whole family.
All performers must be big personalities, able to sing all styles, be very confident and comfortable with audience participation, have loads of energy, play nice with others, and be great movers. Roles as listed are the original cast members' names. Our cast will use their own names, and their own personalities will have a large place in the show. There is no star, and no place to hide. This is a truly equal ensemble, and all are lead and backup at different times. All physical types and ethnicities encouraged to audition.
While at the ROCKIN' CHRISTMAS PARTY, Santa grants all the gang their own Christmas fantasy (those on the "nice" list), so they help each other perform their dream showcases.
FELICIA: Her fantasy is "go-go glam." Songs include GET THIS PARTY STARTED, STAND BY YOUR MAN, MIDNIGHT TRAIN TO GEORGIA.
REBECCA: Her musical fantasy is the "Grand Ol' Opry Dream." Songs: ROCKIN' ROBIN, MERRY CHRISTMAS BABY, WE ARE FAMILY.
DENICE: Her musical fantasy is to be a disco diva. Songs: LADY MARMALADE, MOVIN' ON UP, I WILL SURVIVE, IT'S RAININ' MEN.
ANDRA: She is the "naughty" one per Santa, who doesn't start in Santa's good graces. She is the spicy, sassy one. Songs: I'M A WOMAN, JOY TO THE WORLD, IT'S RAINING MEN, CELEBRATION.
GERARD: His musical fantasy is to have an old-fashioned Christmas TV special. Songs include: GREAT BALLS OF FIRE, I LIKE IT LIKE THAT, HOT HOT HOT, TURN THE BEAT AROUND.
PATRICK: His musical fantasy is starring at the Apollo. Songs: I FEEL GOOD, YMCA, HOLD ON, I'M COMING, RUN RUN RUDOLPH.
