SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in RING OF FIRE (see breakdown).

All stage managerial positions have been filled.

Seeking an ensemble of

Actor/Singer/Advanced Musicians.

Actors of all gender identities, ethnicities, ages, and disabilities will be fully and fairly considered for all roles and are strongly encouraged to audition for said roles.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a brief cut of a song in the style of the show. Actors are encouraged to bring their instrument(s) of choice to play during the audition. Electric guitar amp and cable will be provided. Piano and accompanist will be provided. Bring stapled headshot and resume and sheet music in your key.

BREAKDOWN

Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not recommended. Singer’s masks can be found at www.broadwayreliefproject.com/singersmask.

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.

Holding/Audition room information:

The audition room can accommodate no more than 110 individuals at a time.

The holding room can accommodate no more than 220 individuals at a time.

All roles will be understudied.

Seeking:

Track 1: 50s - 60s. Older Johnny Cash. Excellent rhythm guitarist. Other instruments and percussion are a plus.

Track 2: 20s. Younger Johnny Cash. Excellent acoustic and electric guitar player. Other instruments and percussion are a plus.

Track 3: 30s-40s. June Carter. Excellent Singer. Instrument (particularly guitar) and percussion skills a plus, but not required.

Track 4: 20s-early 30s. Vivian Cash and others. Excellent fiddle player, other instruments a plus. *Bring vocal audition cut in addition to fiddle cut.

Track 5: 20s-30s. Younger Brother, Luther Perkins, and others. Excellent lead electric guitarist, other instruments, especially banjo and mandolin a plus.

Track 6: 20s-50s. Marshall Grant and others. Excellent Bass player (double bass preferred), other instruments a plus.
