BREAKDOWN

ALL ROLES HAVE ALREADY BEEN CAST, AUDITIONS FOR REPLACEMENTS AND UNDERSTUDIES ONLY

ROBERT.
Man. 50s. Catherine and Claire's father. A famous mathematician and Catherine's father who has just died. A genius in his prime during his 20s. When his mental health took a turn for the worse, he became more and more prone to delusion. Caring, passionate and at time, incredibly stubborn. Wants the best for his children. Believes in Catherine the most.

CATHERINE.
Woman. 25. Has inherited her father's knack for mathematics but fears she will inherit the same mental illness that plagued her father. Leans towards lethary and spends much of her time idle in her room. Battling depression and grief after her father's recent death. Sharp, witty, biting. Hyper-logical. Searching for hope.

CLAIRE.
Woman. 29. Catherine's practical sister. Left her family home in Chicago to move to New York City in her young age to launch her now successful career. Calculated yet well-intentioned. Has a tendency to make decisions for her sister. Wants her sister to get better even if it takes aggression on her end.

HAL.
Man. 28. Former student of Robert's who wishes to search through his mentor's work. Plays in a band with other mathematicians. Charming and studious at his best but falls into preconceived notions about Catherine's capabilities when challenged.
