SEEKING
Actors of all types and ages to participate in Monday Night PlayGround.
PREPARATION
1 or 2 monologues - your choosing - no longer than 3 minutes TOTAL. May get asked to sing 32 bars of something a cappella if that is one of your skills.

Monday Night PlayGround performs once a month. Each month the cast is different, depending on the scripts we receive. Every script gets a total of 80 minutes rehearsal and 10 minutes of tech. The plays are performed ON BOOK, but minimally blocked.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of audition.

BREAKDOWN
Since we don't know what scripts we will be working with from month to month, we are looking for solid, versatile actors who can make big choices and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. While what we do has elements of improv, PlayGround is designed to support the playwright, so attention to text and language is a priority for the PlayGround actor. We are a diverse company and want accurate representation of our community on our stage. Actors of all genders and ethnicities are strongly encouraged to apply.
