SEEKING

Actors/Singers/Dancers of ALL ethnicities for our 2018 Summer Season: Single show contracts are available.

PREPARATION

If interested in Hunchback and/or Mamma Mia, please prepare 32-ish bars of an appropriate song.

If interested in Vanya, Sonia, Masha, and Spike and/or Arcadia, please prepare a short appropriate monologue.

Vanya, Sonia, Masha, and Spike

SPIKE – Male. Mid to late 20s, Any ethnicity. An aspiring actor. Masha’s new companion. Sexy, self-absorbed boy-toy. Friendly, charming, always seductive. attractive and very well built. Seeking a strong comedic actor also good at physical comedy

SONIA – Female. Early to mid 50s. Any ethnicitty. Discontent, upset, regretful. Never had a romantic life. Volatile, and angry that her pretty sister, Masha, has had a life. Must be a very strong comedic actress with great language skills and wide emotional range.

NINA – Female. Early to late 20s, any ethnicity. Lovely, sincere would be actress. Star struck and energetic in her enthusiasm.

CASSANDRA – Female. 25-40. African-American. Cleaning lady and soothsayer, she often bursts into prophecy, her diction sounding like Greek tragedy mixed with contemporary thoughts and references. Verbal dexterity necessary, great comedic skills

Mamma Mia

SOPHIE- Female. 21-25. A special young woman who is determined to find the romance and happiness she feels eluded her mother. Has an adventurous spirit even though she pursues a conventional marriage. Pop soprano.& good dancer.

SKY- Male. mid to late 20s any ethnicity. Sophie’s fiance. Athletic, attractive – Pop singer good dancer.

ENSEMBLE Dynamic dancers of ALL ethnicities with vocal range and comedic chops.

Arcadia

Director- Roger DeLaurier

Rehearsal starts July 17

Run Aug. 18 - Sept. 9

Septimus Hodge- Male. 22-30. Any ethnicity. Tutor from the early 19th century. An academic and a rogue with wit and charm.

Thomasina- Female. Any ethnicity. Starts the play at 13 ends at 17. (looking to cast an adult) She is a genius who is still a child with a delightful sense of innocence, whimsy, fun, curiosity, and imagination
