Working well together as a group (especially the male quartet) is important, as is the ability to step forward and hold the stage alone. The cast breakdown below follows the basic description as was presented on Broadway with some of the songs on which they sing lead. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend. The descriptions below follow the original Broadway production as it was originally cast. We are not limiting ourselves to this original breakdown as far as ethnicity and race and age are concerned. All types will be considered for almost all roles.
