A dancing and singing Greek chorus providing all of the background functions of populating our world, conveying through movement and song a clear-eyed if at times cynical grounding in their truth in each dramatic situation as it unfolds. SEEKING A STRONG SINGER AND ACTOR. BASS/BARITONE. (Note: This track also understudies REVEREND SAMUEL E. CORNISH: A Presbyterian Pastor who can be self-righteous but is also self-assured and well educated. A refined, great orator who is inherently a true leader. He with his white Irish wife Annie, run the underground Railroad in the Five Points. Actor must have a lot of stage presence and great stature. VOCAL RANGE – HIGH. BARITONE – SINGS TO AN F.)

Seeking dancers who have strong tap along with urban dance skill, i.e., break, stepping, locking, flexing, crumping, etc. A dancing and singing Greek chorus providing all of the background functions of populating our world, conveying through movement and song a clear-eyed if at times cynical grounding in their truth in each dramatic situation as it unfolds. We are seeking dancers with strong vocal and acting skills to complete the ensemble cast of distinct, specific characters. (Note: This track also understudies WILLIAM HENRY LANCE: (African American Man, early 20's), An exceptional dancer & tap dancer. A hot head, fearless and strong-willed to a fault. He was born and bred on a Tennessee plantation. Born a slave, who was free via The Underground Railroad. VOCAL RANGE - HIGH RnB TENOR - NEEDS A STRONG Bb.

20s-40s, female, African American. Seeking strong singers who can also dance - i.e., break, stepping, locking, flexing, crumping, etc. A dancing and singing Greek chorus providing all of the background functions of populating our world, conveying through movement and song a clear-eyed if at times cynical grounding in their truth in each dramatic situation as it unfolds. Again, dancers with strong vocal and acting skills to complete the ensemble cast of distinct, specific characters are what we are looking for. (Note: this track also understudies ANABELLE “NELLY” FREEMAN: Nelly is the first African American woman to own a saloon in the Five Points and is fiercely determined to hold on to it. She is beautiful, tenacious, charming, witty and is a force of nature. Life has taught her to have a tough skin but has no prejudice as she provides a sanctuary welcoming all races to be together. She runs the Underground Railroad in the Five Points with the Reverend and Annie. Actor must have an extraordinary stage presence. VOCAL RANGE - RnB Belt, with strong mix. Belts to a D.

Caucasian female. Strong Irish Dancer with flawless technique who also is a distinct character unto herself. Must be a strong actor and singer. This dancing and singing Greek chorus providing all of the background functions of populating our world, conveying through movement and song a clear-eyed if at times cynical grounding their truth in each dramatic situation as it unfolds. ALL VOICE TYPES.
