Matilda, the Musical:

Matilda Wormwood-female, mezz-soprano, age 10+ An Imaginative girl who is clever and wise far beyond her years

Miss Agatha Trunchbull-male or female to play female, age 30-50 The tyrannical headmistress at Matilda's school who despises children.

Miss Honey- female, mezzo-soprano, age 22-40 Matilda's kindhearted teacher. She is tired of living in fear under Miss Trunchbull

Mr. Wormwood- Male, baritone, age 30-45 Matilda's uncaring father. A slimy, greedy used-car salesman

Mrs. Wormwood-female, mezzo-soprano, age 30-45 Matilda's self-absorbed, negligent mother and amateur ballroom dancer

Michael Wormwood-male, tenor, age 10+ Matilda's older brother. He is not very bright, but favored by their parents

Lavender- female, age 10+ Matilda's classmate and friend

Bruce- male, age 10+ Matilda's classmate and lover of Chocolate cake

Mrs. Phelps-female, age 25-45 The nice librarian that loves to listen to Matilda's stories

The Escapologist- Male, baritone, age 30-45 A character in Matilda's story, as told to the librarian, who comes to life in their imagination. Likely cast as a track role

The Acrobat-female, mezzo-soprano, age 30-45 A character in Matilda's story, as told to the librarian, who comes to life in their imagination. Likely cast as a track role

Rudolpho- male, tenor, age20-45 Mrs. Wormwood's ballroom dance partner. Likely cast as a track role

School Ensemble- Male and Female age 10+ Matilda's classmates, all unique and quirkly in their own way

Adult Ensemble-Male and Female, ages 15+ to play older students, entertainer, doctor, parents, henchmen, cook, etc

Always…Patsy Cline The roles of Patsy Cline and Louise Seger have been pre-cast

Peter and the Starcatcher:

Boy(Peter)-male, teen/young adult A nameless, homeless, friendless boy at the beginning, to hero at the end. Peter is brave and competitive, a survivor, and someone the other boys come to look up to. More than anything, he wants a home and a family. He doesn't trust adults and thus, never wants to be one.

Prentiss-male, teen/young adult Ambitious, logical and a little bit older than Peter, Prentiss wants to be the leader but knows he will never be one

Ted-male, teen/young adult Called Tubby because of his obsession with food, Ted is the most talented of the boys, an easy wit, a natural actor. he is fed up with Prentiss, but hungry for companionship

Lord Leonard Aster- male age 30's-50's The very model of a Victorian English gentleman, a loyal subject to the queen, devoted father and faithful friend

Molly Aster- Female, teen/young adult A natural leader, was raised to believe females can do anything males can, fearless, curious, passionate and devoted to her father, her country, her Queen, and the cause of the Starcatchers.

Mrs. Bumbrake-female, age 40's-60's Molly's Nanny, British through and through, no-nonsense, and not afraid of anything, but likes a good time. Girlish chame despite being older

Captain Robert Falcon Scott- Male, age 30s-50s Commander of the fastest ship in the queen's fleet, and old schoolmate of Lord Aster

Grempking-male or female, age 30-60 Mean and Nasty, the schoolmaster from St. Norbert's Orphanage for Lost Boys

Black Stache-male, age 30-50s A ruthless, hearless pirate captain, Stache started shaving at age ten. He's proud of his magnificent facial hair and is partial to the poetical and the theatrical

Smee-male, age 20-50 First mate to Stache, simple-minded and single-minded to his captain's every whim

Sanchez-male or female, age 20-50s A Hard working Spanish pirate with an identity crisis

Bill Slank-male, age 30-50s A vicious captain with no ability to lead his crew. He is an orphan, but is cruel to Peter and the boys. He would sell his own mother for a ship to command

Alf-male, age 30-50s An old seadog who's far more proud of his rank of Mister than he sould be. always in search of a damsel, any damsel

Mack-male, age 30-50s Mack wants to be anywhere else but under Bill Slank's command

Fighting Prawn-male or female, age 30-50s King of the Mollusk native, he is kidnapped by British sailors and taken in chains to England where he served as a sous-chef. Since returning to his island kingdom he has vengefully murdered any English person who dared to set foot on his island.

Teacher-female, age 30-50s Formerly a salmon, teacher is now an ancient, knowledgeable mermaid
