Seeking
Equity actors and actor/singers for roles in various theatres' seasons within the NJ area.

Preparation
Please prepare EITHER

A) A brief monologue (not to exceed two minutes) OR

B) A brief song (not to exceed two minutes) OR

C) 16 bars of a song and a one-minute monologue.

If singing, bring sheet music; an accompanist is provided all day.

For those AEA theatres participating in these auditions, some may submit a breakdown to AEA for posting on Casting Call. If so, a separate notice will be posted for that theatre

· A monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

The New Jersey Theatre Alliance (NJTA) auditions are based on a lottery system for non-Equity performers, and an appointment process for Equity performers.

Earlier registrations are more likely to receive their preferred appointment time.

EQUITY MEMBERS: We will contact you with your requested time frame and ask that you respond to accept.

NON-EQUITY ACTORS: This form indicates your interest in participation; it does not guarantee you a place in the audition. You will be notified whether you secure an audition or not, no later than July 15, 2016.

EMC is considered Non-Equity.

Do not enter multiple registrations.

The audition dates are as follows:

Equity: Monday, August 15, 10:00am-6:00pm

Non-Equity: Tuesday, August 16, 10:00am-6:00pm

You must submit your headshot and resume digitally in order to register. If you receive an audition spot, your headshot and resume will be placed in a booklet that will be distributed to the attending theatre representatives. This saves time and effort throughout the audition process, and will allow you to leave once your audition is finished.

A follow-up list – indicating which theatres expressed interest in your work – will be posted on our website shortly after the auditions are concluded. To defray the cost of printing the book, some fees may apply. Payment instructions will be included if you are given an audition spot.

•The deadline to register is Friday July 1, 2016.

• If given a slot, you will be notified by email no later than July 15, 2016.

• Payment instructions will be included with your acceptance notification (there is no fee for AEA members in good standing)

NOTE ON PARTICIPATING AEA THEATRES

Some AEA theatres participating in these auditions may submit a casting notice to AEA to post on Casting Call in order to fulfill a portion of the theatre's required Equity Auditions. If a theatre submits a casting notice to AEA for posting, it will be posted on Casting Call as a separate entry under ''NJTA Equity Auditions - [Name of Theatre]''
