Equity actors for various roles in the upcoming 18-19 Season. See breakdown.

PREPARATION

Prepare one monologue OR two contrasting monologues – up to 3 minutes total. Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together. No accompanist will be provided.

Amber: Female. Young, believably teenaged actor. Smart, sassy, but still sensitive. Smart like a teenager, not like a grownup.

TJ: Male. Young, believably teenaged actor. Too forgettable. Big heart.

Frankie: Male. Young, believably teenaged actor. Very trusting. Maybe not all there in a traditional sense.

Eileen: Female, 30s-50s. Amber’s mother. NYC expat. Single mom who has to make all the dad jokes for the family, trusts the goodness of justice system.

Angela: Female, 30s-40s. TJ’s mother. Working class family for many generations. Trusts the power of the justice system.

Frank, Sr: Male, 30s-40s. Frankie’s father. Trying to parent like his dad did in a world with fewer options. Security guard.

The Breaker Boy: Probably male, ideally young. A spirit guide. Knows the truth about the system.

The Judge: White male, 50s. A little bit like Johnny Cash. A little bit like Al Swearengen. A little bit like Adam Smith. He is the system.
