BREAKDOWN

George Bailey - male, 30s. A dreamer whose hopes have been repeatedly dashed by his choosing to do the right thing.

Mary Bailey - female, 30s. George's warm, loving generous wife.

Potter - male, 60s. The richest, meanest man in town with the soul of a snake.

Harry - male, 30s. George's kid brother who has accomplished much by standing on George's shoulders.

Uncle Billy - male, 60s. George's good-hearted but forgetful uncle and partner.

Clarence - male, 60s. George's hapless guardian angel who's been trying to win his wings for centuries
