[BAKER] Male, All Ethnicities, 30s – 40s. A simple, practical man with a wry sense of humor who is not sure he wants a child as dearly as his wife does. He is loving, prideful and protective of his family. Baritone. OFFER PENDING

[BAKER’S WIFE] Female, All Ethnicities, 30s – 40s. She leads a simple yet satisfying life and very much wishes to be a mother. Determined and bright, patient but willing to take great risks to achieve her goal. Comic and witty sensibility. Mezzo-Soprano with Belt. OFFER PENDING

[NARRATOR/MYSTERIOUS MAN] Male, All Ethnicities, 50s – 60s. Narrator: An intellectual and likable storyteller who helps to orchestrate the show and illustrate lessons to the audience. An engaging character actor. Mysterious Man: A mischievous vagrant and nosy meddler. A good-natured protector and observer, very wise, a bit wacky. Baritone. OFFER PENDING

[CINDERELLA] Female, All Ethnicities, 20s – 30s. A beautiful maiden who has been shunned and mistreated for a good deal of her life and is desperate for love and affection. She persistently pursues her wish to attend the King’s festival yet finds that it doesn’t quite live up to her expectations. Naturally a dreamer, she is earnest & strong-willed, warm-hearted and surprisingly clumsy. Comic and witty sensibility. Soprano with strong Mix. OFFER PENDING

[WOLF/CINDERELLA’S PRINCE] Male, All Ethnicities, 20s – 30s. Wolf: Convinces LITTLE RED to take a detour on her way to GRANNY’S. Later swallows LITTLE RED and is then slayed by the BAKER. Villainous, wily, and predatory. Seeking a funny, very physical, robust performer. Cinderella’s Prince: Brother of RAPUNZEL’S PRINCE. He is next in line to the throne and thus is pressured to hold a perfect public persona. Initially finds CINDERELLA to be unobtainable. A handsome and sexy prince. He is seductive, yet funny; privileged and reckless. Self-centered, shallow, and shameless. Bari-tenor. More of a Baritone as the Wolf. OFFER PENDING

[PRINCE’S STEWARD] Male, All Ethnicities, 20s – 30s. A servant to the Royal Family. He takes much pride in his job and is always trying to impress, but when it comes down to it, he is out for himself. Surly and bureaucratic, full of self-importance. Uptight, conniving and cowardly. Baritone or Tenor.

[CINDERELLA’S STEPMOTHER] Female, All Ethnicities, 40s – 50s. Mean-spirited, abusive, demanding stepmother of CINDERELLA. A social climber who values wealth, status and material possessions above all else. Unapologetically dismissive and cruel. Mezzo-Soprano. OFFER PENDING

[CINDERELLA’S FATHER] Male, All Ethnicities. 40s – 60s. Father to CINDERELLA. His wife drives him to drink. He is out of touch with his family but is harmless and well-meaning. Baritone.

[FLORINDA & LUCINDA] Female, All Ethnicities, 20s – 30s. CINDERELLA’S spoiled and abusive step-sisters. Raised to believe they are perfect and should only have the best. They are privileged, arrogant and cruel. Nasty and black-hearted. Mezzo-Soprano.

[GRANNY/CINDERELLA’S MOTHER] Female, All Ethnicities, 40s – 60s. Granny: Loving grandmother to LITTLE RED. This is a woman who has been calloused by life. The fire in her eyes is only outshined by the love in her heart for her granddaughter. Feisty and fearless. Cinderella’s Mother: CINDERELLA’S kind mother. She is deceased, but active as a ghostly spirt. Warm-hearted and maternal. Mezzo-Soprano, with a warm soothing vocal timbre.

[JACK’S MOTHER] Female, All Ethnicities, 40s – 50s. A single mother to JACK, she will do whatever it takes to defend him. Her son’s constant dreaming frazzles her and scares her: how will he survive in a cruel world when she is gone? A hard worker, browbeating and weary. Soprano or a Mezzo with access to head voice. OFFER PENDING

[RAPUNZEL] Female, All Ethnicities, 20s – 30s. Sheltered away for most of her life in a tall door-less tower by the WITCH, she yearns to experience the world. She is lonely loopy and eccentric, yet lovable. Soprano up to A5.

[RAPUNZEL’S PRINCE] Male, All Ethnicities, 20s – 30s. He is second in line to the throne, and thus does not have the same pressure as his brother of holding up a perfect public persona. He is always chasing the newest, most exciting endeavor. He is just as handsome and pompous as his Prince brother but is easier going and earnest. Baritone or Bari-Tenor. OFFER PENDING

[SNOW WHITE] Female, All Ethnicities, 20s, A princess awakened by a prince. Soprano.

[SLEEPING BEAUTY] Female, All Ethnicities, 20s. A princess awakened by a prince. Soprano.
