SEEKING
Two understudies. Local hires preferred. See breakdown. Open to all ages, ethnicities, and performers with disabilities unless otherwise specified.
PREPARATION
3 minutes total audition- strict time limit.
2 short (1 min) contrasting CONTEMPORARY monologues or 1 (2 min) monologue; preferably from a published play (NO original compositions, NO classical monologues)
MUST bring Picture and Resume, stapled together.

BREAKDOWN
PLEASE NOTE: Principal roles have been cast. The following understudy roles are being auditioned:
One actor to understudy the two roles/tracks:
THE FEMALE INGÉNUE (ADINA) – Female, late 20’s
The ingénue. Plays the untrained actress trying her best and often failing. Nervous. This track additionally plays the strong-willed young women. Passionate and vivacious.
THE FEMALE MIDDLE (ELIZABETH) – Female, mid 30’s
Plays the driven actress trying her best against all odds, often succeeding through hard work. Seasoned and tough. In God of Vengeance she plays the older prostitute who falls in love with the daughter of the brothel owner.
One actor to understudy one role/track:
THE FEMALE ELDER (MIMI) – Female, 40’s-50’s
Plays the older actresses and characters. Full of wit and has a bite. She keeps everyone in line with heart. She plays the devout Jewish mother in God of Vengeance
