DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER

Director: TBA. 1st Rehearsal: August 9 Run: Aug. 30-Sept. 22

This wildly funny sequel to Boeing-Boeing is an affair—or three!—to remember. Bernard’s plans for a romantic rendezvous with his mistress are complete with a gourmet caterer and an alibi courtesy of his friend, Robert. But when Bernard’s wife learns that Robert will be visiting for the weekend, she decides to stay in town, setting the stage for a collision course of assumed identities and outrageous infidelities.

Seeking:

Bernard: 30s-40s, charismatic. He has no difficulty juggling mistresses and schedules.

Jacqueline: 30s. His suspicious wife (having an affair with Bernard’s best friend)

Robert: 30s-40s. Bernard’s best friend and Jacqueline’s lover.

Suzette: 30s. The adaptable cook hired by Bernard. She is mistaken for Robert’s niece. Physical role with excellent comic timing.

Suzanne: 20s-30s. Bernard’s mistress. A Parisian model.

George: 30s. Suzette’s husband. Threatening to Robert and Bernard.

Hungry for braaaaaains? Join the walking dead of Harwood, Texas as a theatre troupe attempts to interview the survivors of its zombie apocalypse. This mockumentary play will feed your appetite for all things zombie and prove that Waiting for Guffman has nothing on this hilarious and hellacious satire of theatre, documentaries and zombie madness.

Ensemble of 5 actors (4m; 1w) to play multiple roles.



A TUNA CHRISTMAS

Those wacky characters from Tuna, Texas have once again entered the heated Yuletide lawn display contest. Socialite Vera Carp hopes to win another consecutive victory, but she faces stiff competition from the crusty proprietor of Didi’s Used Weapons and from a pair of cowboy-loving Tastee Creme waitresses.

The following roles have been CAST. However actors auditioning will be considered for possible replacements if needed:

Two actors (m/f): CAST. Either gender. Characters’ age range: 30s - 50s. Actors play multiple characters in a small Texas town (e. g. Sheriff, housewife, child, teenager, socialite, Tastee Creme waitresses, Humane Society worker, radio DJs, etc).

Bob Cratchit: 30–40. Hardworking employee of Ebenezer Scrooge. Devoted father and husband.

Mrs. Cratchit: 30 - 40. Devoted wife and mother. Married to Bob Cratchit.

Spirit of Christmas Past: 30 - 60. The first ghostly visitor to Ebenezer Scrooge. Gentle but spirited.

Spirit of Christmas Present: 30 - 60. Scrooge’s second ghostly visitor. Jolly but forceful.

Welcome to Southie, a Boston neighborhood where a night on the town means a few rounds of bingo, where this month’s paycheck covers last month’s bills, and where Margie Walsh has just been let go from yet another job. Facing eviction, Margie thinks an old fling who’s made it out might be her ticket to a fresh new start. But is this self-made man – now a successful doctor -- secure enough to face his humble beginnings? As Margie risks all for a new start, will her luck finally change for the better?

LEVELING UP

Award-winning playwright Deborah Zoe Laufer is back (End Days, Sirens). This time she explores the addictive world of online gaming. Three roommates and a girlfriend spend hours with their Xbox in the quest to level up, avoid things IRL (in real life) and engage in RPG (role playing games). To get paid to play games would be a dream come true. But when the government comes offering a seemingly dream job to one of the gamers, the line between reality and virtual reality gets rather fuzzy.

Seeking:

IAN: Early 20’s. Awesome gamer – Nevada State champ. A bit of a nerd. Very bright.

CHUCK: Early 20’s. Ian’s roommate. All around good guy.

ZANDER: Early 20’s. Ian’s other roommate. Very good looking. A bit of a wheeler-dealer.

JEANNIE: 21. Zander’s girlfriend. Very sweet and innocent. Excellent student.

When his latest magic trick, a large tempest, washes up some royal visitors, Prospero soon finds himself at the center of an incredible odyssey about family, love and mercy.
