THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES
Director - Mark Shanahan
1st reh: 6/30/15.
Runs: 7/16 - 7/25/15
Seeking:

ACTOR 1/Holmes
Any ethnicity, 30-50, an esteemed actor, miscast as Holmes but determined to be the iconic detective. He doesn't care for Actor 2, the newest member of the team. His fiery temper bleeds through to the other characters he plays. He is hot headed and ridiculously passionate about this evening's performance. His ego is easily bruised and intrudes upon his professionalism at times. He also plays Barrymore (a mysterious, formal butler), Mrs Barrymore (an emotional wreck), Stapleton (a villainous local in the countryside) and Cecille ( a Spanish beauty with secrets to hide).

ACTOR 2/Sir Henry
Any ethnicity, 25-40, British. A young and serious actor, he is perhaps the newest member of this small troupe. He is easily frightened and iritated but undaunted in his desire to play his part with extreme commitment. Nothing can stand in the way of his getting through this play. He also plays Dr. Mortimer (a fearsome London doctor) and a country Yokel (with a Scottish accent)

ACTOR 3/Watson
Any ethnicity, 30s-40's British. The den mother to this small troupe and aims to keep everyone on track. Also very personable with the audience. Slightly vain and a bit battered by a career in the theatre, not quite as vicious as the other actors. A people pleaser. The lines between acting and surviving the play with this group are unclear. Also plays a country Yokel (with a Scottish accent).

==========

Caucasian. 42, dark, and large. Warm and unhurried, he has a definite talent for mimicry. In his voice there is still a trace of a German-Jewish accent, of which he is probably unaware.

SALLEY TALLEY
Caucasian, 31, light, thin, quite attractive, but in no way glamorous or glamorized. Straight forward, rather tired, and just now quite angry. In this state she has a pronounced Ozark accent, but when she concentrates on what she is saying, the accent becomes less pronounced.
