**Out of an abundance of caution, the producers have chosen to cancel this EPA for the safety of our members and everyone involved. These EPAs will not be rescheduled. They will be accepting video audition submissions in lieu of the EPAs. A separate notice for video submissions will be posted with submission information.**

AEA members Email casting@operahousearts.org with headshot/resume to schedule an appointment. AEA members without an appointment will be seen as time permits. Non-Equity actors will be seen as time permits.

CONTRACT

LOA $438/week

SEEKING

Equity actors for various roles. See breakdown. We are seeking a diverse company of collaborative artists. Performers of all ages, ethnic and racial backgrounds, bodies, and gender identifications are welcome. All roles except for Hamlet will be doubled or tripled, etc., with an eye toward innovative casting. All actors will be considered for all roles.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a brief classical monologue, no more than two minutes, and bring a photo and resume stapled together.

First Rehearsal July 20, 2020; runs Wed-Sun Aug 12-16, Tues-Sat Aug 18-22, and Wed-Sun Aug 26-30, 2020.

This collaborative, inventive production of HAMLET will be staged in the round, and will be performed both at the Stonington Opera House and at various nontraditional venues in and around the Blue Hill Peninsula in Maine.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of audition.

Actor Track Three:
Plays Ghost/Player King/Clown 1 & others. Male, any ethnicity, 40+.

Actor Track Four:
Plays Horatio/Guildenstern & others. Male, any ethnicity, 22-40.

Actor Track Five:
Plays Gertrude & others. Female, any ethnicity, 35+.

Actor Track Six:
Plays Ophelia/Rosencrantz & others. Female, any ethnicity, 22-40.

Actor Track Seven:
Plays Laertes/Player Queen & others. Female, any ethnicity, 25-40.

Actor Track Eight:
Plays Polonia/Clown 2/Fortinbras & others. Female, any ethnicity, 40+.
