Equity singers for possible future chorus replacements in the Broadway production of HADESTOWN (see breakdown).

PREPARATION

Choose a brief NON MUSICAL THEATER song (folk, rock, jazz, gospel, etc…). An accompanist will be provided. Note: there will be no dancing at this call. Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

BREAKDOWN

NOTE FROM CREATIVE: We welcome performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and body types. We are seeking actors with unique, vibrant singing skills. Certain roles will also require strong instrumental abilities. Actors of diverse cultural and racial backgrounds are encouraged to apply. In general, we are not looking for conventional “music-theatre style”/vibrato singers. We are seeking singers capable of pure tones and/or vibrato that feels informed by jazz/rock/gospel.

Seeking Equity actors as possible future replacements in currently-running production:

WORKER 1: Soprano. (F#3 - E5). Any age, any gender identity, any ethnicity. The workers chorus populates the world above and below ground, representing the spirit of both labor and community. Physically strong and great dancer.

WORKER 2: Low alto. (E3 - C#5). Any age, any gender identity, any ethnicity. The workers chorus populates the world above and below ground, representing the spirit of both labor and community. Physically strong and great dancer.

WORKER 3: Tenor. (B2 – B4). Any age, any gender identity, any ethnicity. The workers chorus populates the world above and below ground, representing the spirit of both labor and community. Physically strong and great dancer.

WORKER 4: Tenor/baritone. (G2 – G4). Any age, any gender identity, any ethnicity. The workers chorus populates the world above and below ground, representing the spirit of both labor and community. Physically strong and great dancer.

WORKER 5: Bass/baritone. (C2 – G4). Any age, any gender identity, any ethnicity. The workers chorus populates the world above and below ground, representing the spirit of both labor and community. Physically strong and great dancer.
