Breakdown

ROSE, (adult) LOUISE, (adult) DAINTY JUNE, HERBIE have been cast.

UNCLE JOCKO/MR. WEBER/PASTEY/PHIL: 40s – 60s; character man. Various iconic show-business types from Kid-hating Kiddie Show Host to crass Burlesque backstage manager. Non-singing role.

POP/MR. GOLDSTONE/CIGAR/BOUGERON-COCHON: 40s–60s character man. Non-singing role. Various iconic character roles including Rose’s father to the brusk cigar-chomping Burlesque company manager

YONKERS: 20s: One of Dainty June’s chorus guys. Strong belt voice and dance skills. Tap required.

L.A.: 20s: One of Dainty June’s chorus guys. Strong belt voice and dance skills. Tap required.

TULSA: 20s: Chorus guy with a dream. The Alpha of the chorus guys. Strong belt voice and very strong dance skills. Tap required.

AGNES: 20s; Young idealistic wanna-be performer. Strong belt and dance skills required.

MARJORIE MAY: 20s; Young dreamy-eyed wanna-be performer. Strong belt and dance skills required.

TESSIE TURA: Late 30s-60s; Professional stripper whose strip gimmick is based upon a shoddy ability to do ballet. A warm-hearted dame who has seen it all.

ELECTRA: Late 30s-60s; Professional stripper whose strip gimmick is based upon a reliance upon battery powered electric lights in various semi-appropriate places. A burnt-out dame who has been through it all.

MAZEPPA: Late 30s-60s; Professional stripper whose strip gimmick is the questionable ability to play a trumpet. A loud dame who takes no enemies.

Any additional roles in the script are covered by the company.
Kids roles will be auditioned separate from the adults at a later date.
