Equity actors for the role of TROY MAXSON in FENCES.
NOTE: We’re looking for an actor that is both comfortable with and prioritizes language and text. They do have to be classically trained or an August Wilson traditionalist. However, familiarity with Wilsons’ work is helpful.
TROY MAXSON (Male Identifying, Black, 50s-60s) A working-class father and husband who grapples with his past by making a better present and future for his children. Troy's tainted dreams impact his view on life and relationships with his loved ones. Troy is charismatic, stubborn, rigid, and fantastical.
