BREAKDOWN
Elliot is a Marine Corps hero back from Iraq with an injured leg and a Purple Heart. His Pop was wounded in Vietnam; his flute-playing Grandpop fought in Korea. In a fugue-like form, different wars and different tales are strung together as Ginny, his mother, seeks to reconcile the disparate parts and heal emotional wounds.
Seeking 2 men and 1 woman for the following roles:
POP – Male, Puerto Rican, 40’s, Elliot’s father, served in 3rd Cavalry Division in Vietnam
GRANDPOP – Male, Puerto Rican, late 50’s-60’s, Elliot’s grandfather, served in 65th Infantry Regiment of Puerto Rico in Korea
GINNY – Female, Puerto Rican, 40’s, Elliot’s mother, served in Army Nurse Corps in the Vietnam
*Please note the role of ELLIOT has been pre-cast.
