Subtle, nuanced play. A year after her husband's death in Iraq, Kelly, a young therapist, confronts his identical twin brother, who shows up at her apartment unannounced.
Director's statement: “DYING CITY touches on both the political and the personal; it is a play about a society at war and it is a play about the hidden violence that can pervade our most intimate relationships.”

Kelly:
Woman, late 20s, early 30s. Therapist. Sensitive. Craig’s widow.
Craig / Peter:
Two roles (twin brothers) played by the same actor. Both late 20s, early 30s. Craig: Harvard graduate. Reserved. American soldier, deployed to Iraq. Peter: Successful actor. Talkative.
Theatre’s statement: “Either or both roles open to all races and ethnicities. Both roles suitable for non-traditional casting.”
