CONTRACT

SPT current min: $344 (will be revised pursuant to AEA tier salary level increases for 2019)

SEEKING

Equity actors and singers for various roles in the 2019 season.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a short song and 1 minute monologue of your choice. Please bring a picture and resume.

THE WORLD GOES ‘ROUND

First rehearsal: June 17 First preview: June 28 Run:June 29-July 14

Woman 1
(Age: 25 to 50. Vocal range: A5- E3) Tough and strong. Impassioned. She has been hurt. A bit of a lush and snob. Clumsy. Hopeful.

Woman 2
(Age: 25 to 50. Vocal range: G5- F3) Zany. Bawdy and brassy, but also reflective and poised. She is seductive.

Woman 3
(Age: 25 to 50. Vocal range: F5-F3) Adventurous. Hopeful. A lush and snob. Confident and sexy, but hesitant in regards to love.

Man 1
(Age: 25 to 50. Vocal range: G5-A4) A bit of a ham. At times he is lonely, dejected, and shy. Just as easily emboldened to action. Sincere, loving, and charming.

Man 2
(Age: 25 to 50. Vocal range: A5- G3) Handsome. Lonely. Stern and demanding with a commanding voice

Please note: the role of God has been cast.

Roles are open to all gender identities and ethnicities.

Gabriel - 40s - 50s. An Angel of God's. By the books; no-nonsense.

Michael - 30s. An Angel of God's. Funny, impulsive, as irreverant an angel of God's can be.

Forever Plaid - First rehearsal: July 29 First preview: August 9 Run August 10-25

Francis
The leader and caretaker of the group. Confident. Asthmatic. He has a great deal of compassion for the music and the group. Romantic crooner and spiritual singer.
Gender: Male
Age: 20 to 35
Vocal range top: B5
Vocal range bottom: F3

Sparky
The clown of the group, who is shown to have a heart. Very sharp and loves singing his tailor-made solos. Wears a retainer and has a slight speech impediment. Energetic and clever.

Vocal range bottom: F3

Jinx
The shy one. He lives his life terrified and doesn't always remember what song comes next. Sparky's step-brother, he occasionally gets a nosebleed when he sings above an A.

Vocal range bottom: F3

Smudge
The worrier. He worries about the props, the running order, and always assumes the audience won't like him. Has chronic nervous stomach and is oddly reluctant to perform. Wears glasses, which hides his good looks and sex appeal.
