- two musically appropriate songs (32 bars or less) OR
- a monologue and a song (32 bars or less)

Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.

Bring picture and resume.

SHOUT THE MOD MUSICAL

SYNOPSIS:
SHOUT! travels in time from 1960 to 1970 chronicling the dawning liberation of women. With its heart on its sleeve (and its tongue planted firmly in its cheek), SHOUT! features terrific new arrangements of such classic tunes as To Sir With Love, Downtown, Son of a Preacher Man & Goldfinger.

All actresses should have a strong ability to harmonize.

Seeking:

BLUE GIRL
A blue-blooded fashion model. Blue is sophisticated, poised, cool, and aloof. Playing Age 25-30, Low Bb to High C, High Soprano Belt

GREEN GIRL
She is a good-time girl. Blousy, middle-class, and zany, she is a bit frayed at the edges, and hopelessly single. A comedian is needed. Plating Age30-40, Mezzo, Shirley Bassey-like belt.

YELLOW GIRL
Yellow is an uninhibited and brash American. She is a ray of sunshine with a surprising vulnerability. Playing Age 25-30, F below mid C to belt Eb, Alto with big rock diva belt.

ORANGE GIRL
The mother of the group, Orange is domestic and maternal. Wise, soulful, and mature, she is slowly asserting her new-found independence. Playing Age 33-37, Low Bb to High Bb, Soprano with belt.

RED GIRL
The baby of the group, Red is quirky, enthusiastic, and naïve. A hopeless romantic, she is insecure about her looks and possibly a bit chunky. Playing Age 20-27, Low Bb to High C, Soprano with belt.

OUTSIDE MULLINGAR

SYNOPSIS:
Anthony and Rosemary are lovelorn farmers in rural Ireland who haven’t got a clue when it comes to love. These hopeless singletons need to overcome a bitter land feud, familial rivalries and their own romantic fears to find happiness. Full of John Patrick Shanley’s trademark dark humor, this tenderhearted portrait reminds us it’s never too late to take a chance on love.

All must have an excellent Irish accent.

Seeking:

TONY
50s-60s, Sly, wily old Irish farmer who is hard on his son. Stern, unsentimental, thinks he knows it all, and right about everything. Has a dry wit; comes to see the error of his ways.

ANTHONY
mid 30s-early 40s, Tony’s put-upon, good-hearted son. Realistic & self-defeating idealist & dreamer; a non-confrontational, misunderstood & sensitive man who feels things deeply. Painfully shy -secretly in love with Rosemary yet unable to take action. A misfit with a shameful secret & a philosopher’s soul.

AOIFE
50s-60s, Recent grieving widow, in bad health & not too much longer for this world. Blunt & highly opinionated, has some spunk left in her & calls things as she sees them.

ROSEMARY
mid 30s-40, Aoife’s daughter. Stubborn, determined, feisty, practical; has a temper & determined to get what she wants once she sets her mind to it. Determined to have Anthony. Confrontational, proud & beautiful; a strong willed woman.

MURDER FOR TWO

PERFORMANCE DATES: August 12 – August 28

SYNOPSIS:
A zany blend of classic musical comedy and madcap mystery, this tuneful whodunit is a highly theatrical duet loaded with killer laughs. In this hilarious 90-minute show, one performer plays the detective and the second actor plays all 12 suspects. And they both play the piano! It’s a witty and winking homage to old-fashioned murder mysteries.

Both roles must act, sing and play the piano proficiently. The score must be memorized for performances.

A young, eager police officer determined to make his mark on the crime-solving world, charming, earnest, sympathetic, happy and hopeful, straight-laced and totally by-the-book, nevertheless he greets most challenges with a warm smile, chipper (not grizzled), his good-natured demeanor prevails despite this very challenging case., Baritone - Ab (low) to Ab (high)
